My Stance on Sex Jokes

Published Oct 9, 2023

It's time that I settle this. For health, we had to write a rap (or a song of whatever genre we want) about saying no to tobacco (and optionally drugs/alcohol) and how its bad for you. My song ended up being explicit. In health today, the sub brought up the darkweb, which isn't illegal to use UNLESS you're doing something illegal like, for example, hiring a hit man (someone kept asking me "can you hire a hit man" for whatever reason). So I gave them the link to my song lyrics to try and switch the topic to something besides hiring a hit man. And it did... just not in a good way. They decided that by "explicit", it means "sexually explicit", but in reality, songs can be marked explicit for many things - including profanity (besides "damn") and names of drugs. My song just says "ass" and "sh*t", and says the names of drugs (eg 'weed'), so of course it's explicit; they wouldn't be able to play it on the radio. But that doesn't mean it's sexually explicit, but apparently it does now. And then they started thinking I was some weird horny person, especially when they clicked on the DeviantART link to my fan-art on my website's homepage. Since they did it on their school computer, Securly, obviously, blocked it, and they asked me if my fan-art was explicit. This was ridiculous. And then they proceeded to go to my YouTube channel, go to my short where I sneak M&Ms at midnight, and make a remark out loud for the entire class to hear saying I was "moaning" in the video. Since 2 of the people subscribed, I was obviously worried they'd do something stupid like commenting on the short for even more people to see, so I, ofc, privated the short. Now, only I can view it.
But what exactly is my stance on sex jokes? Well, it depends. I've made a few inappropriate jokes in the past, and will probably make a few more in the future. But I know when to not take it too far. There are the types of jokes that I will make, the jokes that I won't make but that I tolerate, and then the jokes that I just straight up don't tolerate. Starting out with jokes I make, I'll occasionally make 69 jokes, in subtle ways where anyone who sees it would have no clue that it was intentional unless they were looking for it (and even then they would only be able to speculate it was intentional). Those are the more subtle jokes - then there are just kinda inappropriate remarks, some of which I get from TV shows, that I occasionally make. (eg: "I don't care about your bossom, buddy!") Sometimes I make a little more inappropriate jokes, but not usually. I tolerate those random no-context things that contain inappropriate words - for example, that Scratch profile that just says "cum" over and over again. The reason it's funny is the fact that it's in their profile on a kids' coding website, and hasn't been removed or detected by the censor. And keep in mind, I AM NOT SAYING ITS OKAY FOR THIS KIND OF STUFF TO BE ON SCRATCH, AND I WILL REPORT INAPPROPRIATE PROJECTS. For what I don't tolerate, well first off, porn. I DO NOT tolerate porn. I also don't tolerate when people try to take something that's completely innocent and try to turn it into a sexual joke, depending on the context and joke. For example, saying I was moaning in the video where I snuck M&Ms - that was just annoying (though it might've also that I already was annoyed with the people). And then there's those highly inappropriate jokes, which I also don't tolerate.
Long story short, what do I tolerate? Subtle jokes (eg 69), some that may be more inappropriate than subtle jokes (eg "cum cum cum cum cum cu..." or "I don't care about your bossom buddy"), but NOT the highly inappropriate (aka lewd) ones. And again, I'm not some horny teenager who is trying to throw in a "69" or "cum" or "bossom" joke in every other sentence who wants to sext with you. Leave that to the creepy people on Discord that get banned from servers before they even join them. I don't use these jokes 24/7. I use them more like... 7 hours a day, 1 day every 2 months... or less. So stop trying to say that everything I make is intentional explicit, ありがと。I don't appreciate it when people say this kind of stuff. And while comments can give feedback (whether positive or negative) and tell me if people enjoyed things or how I can improve, if people start putting inappropriate things in their I'll have to put the censorship back, and maybe even just disable comments entirely. Which I don't want to do. どもありがと。
Also sorry for making this a bit vague, my stance on the kinds of jokes I will and won't tolerate can also depend on my mood, and sometimes I'm tolerant to more inappropriate jokes, and sometimes I'm less tolerant.
